Reward offered for information in Garrison
killing
GARRISON – New York State Crime Stoppers is offering a reward
of up $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction
of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of John
Marcinak.
He was the 49-year-old Garrison tow truck operator whose body was
found New Year’s Eve day along Route 9 in Garrison, not far
from his auto shop. He had been shot several times.
Crime stoppers is a not-for-profit organization with the goal of
helping to make New York State communities safer as they work with
law enforcement, the media, the business community and public to
accomplish that goal. Tips may be done anonymously.
Putnam County Sheriff’s investigators and deputies continue
to conduct interviews and analyze forensic evidence in an effort
to develop a suspect or suspects in the case.
They will be circulating fliers announcing the reward throughout
the region.
