Man charged in connection with ongoing drug investigation

MONTICELLO – State Police at Liberty have arrested a 20-year-old Monticello man in connection with an ongoing drug investigation throughout Sullivan County.

Police charged Gregory Cerrone of Monticello for conspiracy in the second degree.

State Police, in conjunction with investigators from the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office, DEA and Village of Monticello Police are involved in the investigation.

Police said Cerrone became one of many known participants in a drug enterprise. A warrant was obtained for Cerrone by Sullivan County court and he was arrested in the Village of Monticello with the assistance of Monticello Police.

He was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
