Ulster man charged with felony marijuana possession

KINGSTON – A 30-year-old Gardiner man has been arrested and charged with operating a “significant indoor marijuana growing operation.”

The URGENT task force arrested Timothy Davenport of 619 Mountain Road after they received a request to assist Child Protective Services.

When officers went to that address, they found marijuana was being grown and sold there.

A search revealed over 20 marijuana plants, grow lights, ballasts, an irrigation system, processed marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

Davenport was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully growing cannabis.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
