Orange County man charged with stealing
items, selling them
GOSHEN -- Orange County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested a
Warwick man Wednesday and charged him in connection with thefts
of items from a barn and the subsequent sale of those items.
Kenneth Horton, 48, was charged with burglary in the third degree
and grand larceny in the fourth degree, both felonies.
It is alleged that he burglarized a storage barn in the Town of
Hamptonburgh in June 2007 and stole various items including antique
liquor containers, candle holders, and numerous oriental vases.
Authorities are looking into the possibility that Horton, who is
reported to be a county DPW employee, may have burglarized other
storage facilities and sold some of those items.
Horton was remanded to Orange County Jail on $ 7,500 by Judge Thomas
Cione of the Town of Goshen.
Anyone who has purchased any items from Horton is urged to contact
Investigator Romamowski in the Sheriff’s Office at 845-291-7938.
All calls will be kept confidential. |
