Man charged in New Paltz stabbing
KINGSTON – A Kingston man has been arrested and charged with
first-degree assault for allegedly stabbing another man in the back
during an altercation in New Paltz. Police charged Rameen Perry,
32, of 106 McEntee Street.
Town Police said the incident occurred in the early morning hours
of Sunday, June 15 as the two men were leaving local bars in the
Village of New Paltz.
The victim, a 23-year-old Kingston man, was treated for a stab
wound to the back and released from a local hospital.
Police said an altercation took place when the two left the bars
and that’s when Perry stabbed the other man.
Perry was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending
a future court appearance. |
