Two stabbed during wedding reception brawl

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Two people sustained back wounds when they were stabbed as a melee broke out at the Ramada Inn on Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh Saturday night, police said.

The two, a woman stabbed in the leg and a man stabbed in the neck, were treated and released from St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.

Some 30 police officers from Newburgh and New Windsor broke up the brawl that spilled into the parking lot during a wedding reception.

Six people were charged in connection with the incident.
