Level three sex offender notification

NEWBURGH – The Town of Newburgh Police Department has issued a public notification of a level three high-risk sex offender having been relocated to the town.

William Forte, 42, has served several years in prison following a 2003 conviction in the Bronx for sex offenses involving a 13-year-old girl.

He is not living on Albany Post road in Middle Hope. Area schools and childcare facilities will be notified, police said.

Forte has been contacted by the town police and his restrictions were reiterated to him.
