PUTNAM COUNTY—Eleven youths from the Brewster, Southeast,
Patterson area face charges ranging from felony burglary to possession
of stolen property in connection with a series of crimes perpetuated
in the Carmel-Southeast area.
Sheriff Donald Smith and Putnam District Attorney Adam Levy Tuesday
announced the arrests and the solving of 45 separate crimes within
the past four to five months.
The sheriff said the crime wave began when callers from the Eagle’s
Ridge and Reed Farm Condominium complexes, both in Southeast, reported
parked cars being broken into and items stolen from them. Among
the property stolen were GPS units, CD players, radar detectors,
I-pods, credit cards, golf club and cell phones.
Days later, residents of Brewster Hill Road, North Brewster Road,
Peaceable Hill Road and Sherwood Hill Road, all in Southeast, reported
burglaries of their homes involving thefts of firearms, cash, cameras
and computer equipment.
In April, the Brewster School District notified the Sheriff’s
Office that during overnight hours, individuals had stolen a school
car, drove it through a fence enclosing the school bus depot and
drove across the school’s athletic fields causing $10,000
in damages.
Meanwhile, residents of Carmel living along Collier Drive, Glenna
Drive and North Road reported to police that their parked cars had
been entered and items stolen from within them.
The Sheriff’s Department also received reports from Brewster
residents reporting that parked vehicles had sustained shattered
windows caused by individuals discharging a pellet gun.
An investigation led to the arrests of the 11 people. Investigators
shared the information with other police agencies in the Putnam-Dutchess-Westchester
region that resulted in the filing of criminal charges against several
of the defendants in those jurisdictions ranging from felonious
assault to burglary, larceny and criminal mischief.
Police identified the suspects as Jesus Mosquera, 16, of Brewster
who was charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen
property; Anthony Milazzo, 18, of Brewster arrested for criminal
possession of stolen property; Jonathan Langlois, 19, of Patterson,
who was charged with criminal possession of stolen property; and

The sheriff said Douglas Rollman, 18, of Brewster was charged with
grand larceny, criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon,
criminal possession of controlled substances, menacing, conspiracy
and criminal possession of stolen property—crimes that could
send the young man to state prison for the next 15 years.

tampering with a witness. Michael Carney, 17, of Brewster was charged
with multiple counts of burglary and grand larceny while Andrew
