Acquaintance charged with sexually attacking woman

WHITE PLAINS – A 27-year-old Port Chester man has been charged with first-degree rape for allegedly sexually attacking a woman near her home.

Armondo Gonzalez of 29 Oak Street in Port Chester was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.

A 34-year-old woman told police she was forced by an acquaintance from her Park Avenue home in the Town of Greenburgh to an adjacent wooded area where she was raped.

After the incident, they went back to her home where Gonzalez allegedly threatened her with a knife and forced her to have sex again. He then left the home.

The woman sustained bruises related to the June 3 incident, police said. Gonzalez was arrested the following day.
