Drug investigation yields 19 arrests

KINGSTON – The URGENT task force has arrested 19 people, six of them known gang members, following a seven month investigation into cocaine sales in the City of Kingston.

All were indicted by the Ulster County grand jury with indictment warrants issued for their arrests.

Police executed two search warrants on residences in Kingston. A search warrant at 114P Rondout Garden Apartments resulted in the seizure of some $2,000 in cash and quantities of cocaine, marijuana and oxycontin. A second search warrant, at 79 Abruyn Street, resulted in the seizure of a loaded .45 cal. handgun, ammunition, both located in an infant’s room.

The 19 people were charged with various drug offenses.
