‘Serial burglar’ pleads guilty

GOSHEN – An 18-year-old City of Middletown man Tuesday pled guilty in Orange County Court two five counts of burglary in the second degree in what District Attorney Frank Phillips calls the case of a “serial burglar.”

The plea by Brendon Boria satisfies the original indictment against him, charging him with 10 burglaries.

Phillips said Boria was active in his criminal activities from June through December 2007.

During that time he committed burglaries in the City of Middletown, and towns of Wallkill, Crawford and Mount Hope.

When sentenced next month, the DA’s office will ask Judge Jeffrey Berry to give Boria 10 years in prison.
