Man charged with having sex with girlfriend’s daughter

NEW CITY – A Spring Valley man has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury for having sex with his girlfriend’s 16-year-old daughter while the woman was at work.

Jimmy Barahona, 29, was indicted on two counts of third-degree rape and two counts of criminal sexual act in the third degree.

District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said that between January 1 and March 17, Barahona allegedly raped the girl at her Spring Valley home.

After investigation by the Spring Valley Police Department, Barahona was arrested and charged.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
