Croton-on-Hudson man indicted for killing
girlfriend
WHITE PLAINS – A Westchester County grand jury has indicted
Croton-on-Hudson resident Robert Sepe Sr. for allegedly killing
his girlfriend of five years.
Sepe was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and criminal
possession of a weapon in the fourth degree in connection with the
death of Janette Carlucci on March 22.
According to District Attorney Janet DiFiore, Sepe’s two
sons, Robert, Jr. and Joseph, entered his home at 74 Quaker Hill
Drive and discovered blood spatter walls and floor in an area of
the first floor. They called the State Police, who found Carlucci,
who had been beaten to death. A baseball bat was found next to the
body.
Later that same day, Sepe was located by police on an overpass
on Route 17 in Binghamton, where he threatened to jump. After a
five hour standoff, police were able to talk him down and take him
into custody.
If convicted, Sepe faces 25 years to life in prison.
