| Jail inmate charged with sharpening toothbrush KINGSTON – An inmate at the Ulster County Jail has been charged with promoting prison contraband in the first degree. While incarcerated at the jail for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and endangering the welfare of a child, Alan Vacca, 54, fashioned a jail issued toothbrush into a sharp edge, which would be considered dangerou8s contraband, police said. Vacca was arraigned in Kingston City court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail. |
