Middletown man sentenced to 15 years to life in fatal stabbing

GOSHEN – A Middletown man, who pled guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the murder of another Middletown man, was sentenced Thursday in Orange County Court to 15 years to life in prison.

Gilbert Judge, Jr. stabbed Ray Jackson, 42, in July 2007 after Jackson tried to intercede between Judge and his mother, who were arguing in the parking lot of the David Moore Apartments in the City of Middletown.

After Jackson tried to break up the argument, Judge went back into an apartment, returned with knife and stabbed Jackson at least twice in the chest.
