Bomb threat apparent hoax

WALLKILL – A note written on a student’s desk at the Circleville Middle School in the Circleville area of the Town of Wallkill proved to be a hoax, authorities said.

The note, details of which Police Chief Robert Hertman would not reveal because of the ongoing investigation, was written on a student’s desk. The class where the note was found is a sixth grade class.

Police K-9s were brought in to search that room and adjacent ones with negative results.

Wallkill Police continue to investigate along with school officials. Circleville School is in the Pine Bush Central School District.
