TARRYTOWN – Three people were arrested by State Police from the Tarrytown Barracks for a road rage incident that began in Rockland County and ended in Westchester County.

A vehicle occupied by Kamil Lapinski, 24, of Flushing and another, occupied by Rexhe Muriqi, 44, and Besim Muriqi, 22, both of Stamford, CT, had become involved in a road rage incident southbound on the Thruway in Rockland.

During the exchange, Lapinski displayed what appeared to be a handgun. Both vehicles stopped just before the Tarrytown toll plaza in Tarrytown where a violent confrontation ensued, police said.

Both Muriqi subjects got out of their vehicle and dragged Lapinski from his car and began to punch him in the face causing bruising and lacerations.

Both Muriqi men were charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and Lapinski was arrested for menacing in the second degree, a misdemeanor, for displaying a BB gun at the Muriqi men during the road rage incident.
