Four arrested for fake Social Security cards
GOSHEN -- The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested four
Middletown residents on Monday after they offered false documentation
on order to access the Orange County Correctional Facility to perform
pest control work.
The four men, employees of Liberty Pest Control in Middletown, presented
fake Social Security cards to a public works employee on Friday
April 11 in order to obtain a security clearance to the facility
to do work on Monday, April 14.
The men were given clearance as a ruse to get them back to the facility
Monday.
The men then presented fake resident alien cards and were arrested.
Two of the Social Security cards came back too living persons in
California and Michigan.
They were all charged with possession of a forged instrument in
the second degree, and offering a false instrument for filing second
degree.
Charges were Manuel Gualan, 22, Cesar Gualan, 23, Hernan Gualan,
26, and Nelson Ocampos, 32, all of Middletown.
The investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
