Teen arrested after selling drugs to undercover
narcotics investigator
KENT – An 18-year-old Town of Kent man was arrested after
he allegedly sold narcotics to undercover members of the Putnam
County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
Police late last year received information that Andrew Seibert
of Route 52 in the Town of Kent was selling prescription drugs in
the Lake Carmel area of Putnam County. The narcotics included Oxycodone
and ecstasy pills.
An undercover officer infiltrated the operation and purchased the
illegal substances from Seibert on several occasions during the
past several months.
Seibert appeared in Carmel Town Court last week on an unrelated
criminal charge. After his appearance, he was met by narcotics investigators
who arrested him on three counts of criminal possession of a controlled
substance in the third degree and one count of criminal possession
in the fourth degree.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu
of $2,000 bail.
