Man charged with sexually abusing woman

MONTICELLO – Village of Monticello Police have arrested a 45-year-old Monticello man for alleged sexual advanced on a woman twice this year.

Victor Waknine was charged with felony criminal sex act in the first degree, and misdemeanor forcible touching and harassment in the second degree.

Waknine was arrested following an investigation of a complaint from a 46-year-old Monticello woman. She reported to police that he had allegedly forced her to engage in sexual contact on January 28 and then attempted to remove her blouse and touch her on March 17.

The victim reported the incidents took place at a pizzeria on Forestburgh Road where Waknine worked.

He was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $7,500 bail pending further court action.
