Teen charged with repeatedly burglarizing
neighbor’s home
TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – A 16-year-old Southeast youth has been
arrested after he broke into his neighbor’s home and stole
money on three different occasions, the Putnam County Sheriff’s
office charged Tuesday.
The homeowner told police in February that someone had broken into
home and stole a $7,000 coin collection.
Investigators determined that Dillon Purdy of Peaceable Hill Road
had entered the neighbor’s home on three occasions and stole
coins each time.
Purdy was charged with three counts of burglary in the second degree.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Putnam County Jail on $2,500
bail or $5,000 bond.
A temporary order of protection was also placed against Purdy.
If convicted, Purdy could face up to 15 years in state prison.
