Gilleo goes away for life

POUGHKEEPSIE – One of the two men convicted of killing the Morey family and setting their Fishkill home on fire in January of last year was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences.

Charles Gilleo, Jr. was found guilty in Dutchess County Court last month for killing Manuel Morey, Tina Morey and the couple’s three sons.

Gilleo and Mark Serrano went to their home to steal drugs and money from Manuel Morey, authorities said.

Gilleo was sentenced on 41 charges including first- and second-degree murder.

Serrano, who was convicted in December of last year, will be sentenced next week.
