Town police investigate two gas station break-ins

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – One day after someone broke the glass front door of a gas station in the City of Poughkeepsie on Thursday morning, a similar crime was committed at a business in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Early on Friday morning, someone smashed out the front window of the Sunoco Mart at 1118 Dutchess Turnpike and stole property from inside.

Police also said a similar incident occurred on March 6 at the Citgo Mart at 58 Rhobella Drive.

On Thursday morning, City of Poughkeepsie Police investigated a broken front door glass window at the Gulf station at 339 Hooker Avenue. In that incident, the person stole cigarettes, lighters and lottery tickets.
