Police investigate slashed tire incidents

POUGHKEEPSIE -- City of Poughkeepsie Police Wednesday morning responded to several reports of vehicles with slashed tires.

The incidents occurred in the 500-Block of Main Street and in the Upper North area of the city in the vicinity of Mansion and Lent streets. It is believed these incidents occurred overnight.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious persons or activities to city police immediately by calling the main number (845) 451-4000 or the Tip Line at (845) 451-7577.

Parents are urged to remind their children that intentionally damaging another person’s property is a crime.
