PA man arrested for strong-arm robbery

NEWBURGH – A Milford, PA man has been arrested by Newburgh City Police and charged in connection with a strong-arm robbery at a Sunoco gas station at 510 Broadway on Wednesday.

Police investigated the early morning robbery in which the suspect grabbed a paper bag full of cigarette boxes from a clerk and fled from the store.

Officers conducted an investigation and identified Thomas Corrie, Jr., 38, of 154 Bennett Avenue in Milford as the suspect.

Early on Thursday morning, officers responded to a call of a fistfight in the area of Broadway and Johnston Street and when they broke it up, Corrie was identified as one of the fighters. He was arrested and booked on charges of robbery in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
