Rapist sentenced to 25 years in prison
WHITE PLAINS – A 27-year-old Port Chester man who pled guilty
to first-degree rape was sentenced in Westchester County Court Tuesday
to 25 years in state prison.
Federico Ordaz-Ceja hid in the back seat of a woman’s car
as she went to a gas station in Port Chester at 11:40 p.m. on August
26, 2007 to buy a pack of gum and cigarettes.
As the woman began to drive home, the man, later identified as
Ordaz-Ceja, put a knife to the woman’s throat and ordered
her to drive to a desolate area where he forced her into the back
seat of her car and repeatedly raped her. He then fled the area
taking the victim’s car keys. A passing taxi picked her up
and brought her to the Port Chester Police.
Ordaz-Ceja was tracked to Chicago where, with the assistance of
the Chicago Police Department and U.S. Marshal’s Service,
he was apprehended in September 2007.
Back in New York, DNA testing confirmed his identity as the attacker.
