URGENT charges two with drug offenses

KINGSTON – The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team has arrested two people following an extensive narcotics investigation.

Police arrested Nicole Dierna, 19, of 15 Depew Lane in Hurley and Shawn Phillips, 31, of Brooklyn. They were arrested near the intersection of Sawkill Road and Washington Avenue in the Town of Ulster during a buy-bust operation.

A third man was taken into custody, questions and released.

Police also found cocaine, crack cocaine, packaging material and a scale in a room at the 9W Motel occupied by Phillips.

Dierna and Phillips were charged with criminal possession and sale of drugs.

They were arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail, Dierna on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond, and Phillips, without bail.
