Man
indicted in attack outside county building
WHITE PLAINS – A 39-year-old Valhalla man has been indicted
by a Westchester County grand jury for allegedly beating up another
man outside the Westchester County Office building in White Plains.
The incident occurred on January 25 when Anthony Jacobs allegedly
accosted a 58-year-old man at the intersection of Court Street and
Martine Avenue, repeatedly punching him. The assault resulted in
the victim sustained two broken wrists.
Jacobs fled the scene, but was caught later. He is currently remanded
at the Westchester County Jail.
If convicted on the charge of second-degree assault, Jacobs could
face up to seven years in state prison.
