prison sentence in Yonkers fatality
WHITE PLAINS – A 21-year-old Pleasantville man was sentenced
in Westchester County Court Tuesday to one to three years in state
prison in connection with the death of another man.
On March 23, 2007 Mohd Shreiqein was sentenced on his guilty plea
of criminally negligent homicide, assault in the third degree and
vehicle and traffic violations, all in connection with the death
of 87-year-old Anthony Vierio.
Shreiqein was operating a motor vehicle on Sprain Road in Yonkers
when he crossed the center and struck a car coming the other way
head on. The driver was injured and the passenger was killed.
An analysis of Shreiqein’s blood revealed high levels of
the chemical components of cough medicine, commonly known as Robotrippng.
