Two charged with drug possession following report of domestic dispute

CITY OF HUDSON – Police in the City of Hudson Sunday morning arrested a couple following a report of a domestic dispute in an apartment at 134 Warren Street.

When police responded and entered the apartment, they observed cocaine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana in plain view.

Police secured a search warrant and recovered 1 ½ ounces of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging material.

Over $1,500 in cash was also seized.
Charged with felony drug possession were Luis Melara, 32, and Patrice Welch, 18, both of Hudson.

No charges were filed as a result of the domestic argument, police said.
