Two
charged on Thruway with drug offenses
CLARKSTOWN – Two people were arrested for several drug possession
charges after the vehicle in which they were traveling was stopped
for speeding on the Thruway in the Town of Clarkstown.
A 2004 Suzuki, being driven by Bridget McCullough, 26, of Albany,
was stopped Saturday night traveling northbound.
The vehicle was also occupied by Frank James, 36, of Albany.
Troopers discovered that the registration of the vehicle was suspended.
A search of the vehicle revealed approximately two ounces of cocaine
and more than 90 tablets of Ecstasy.
Both people were arrested and charged with criminal possession of
a controlled substance in the second degree and criminal possession
controlled substance in the third degree.
James was also charged with criminal possession in the fifth degree
and unlawful possession of marijuana in connection with quantities
of cocaine and marijuana he possessed on his person.
The street value of the cocaine seized is approximately $2,500 and
the street value of the Ecstasy is $2,000.
