Newburgh man charged with sexual abuse NEWURGH – State Police at Newburgh have arrested a 31-year-old City of Newburgh man on a charge of sexual abuse in the first degree. Police said Jorge Vazquez, a taxicab driver picked up a 29-year-old woman, who told him she needed a ride to her residence. After the woman fell asleep in the back seat of the cab, Vazquez drove to an unoccupied parking lot in the City of Newburgh where the woman alleged he engaged in inappropriate sexual contact without her consent. Vazquez was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
