Employee charged with stealing from winery

MARLBORO – An employee of the Kedem Winery in Marlboro has been charged with burglary for allegedly taking some $12,000 in cash from the company’s business office.

The burglary was reported to Marlborough Town Police on May 12 and following an investigation, Sharon Mackey, 42, of Marlboro was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny in the third degree.

Investigation revealed Mackey allegedly forced open the locked door of the business office and removed the money during business hours.
