| Attempted abduction claim investigated BEEKMAN – State Police have issued an all points bulletin looking for a rusty cream van. Troop K State Police received a report of an attempted abduction of a child on Miller Road in the Town of Beekman around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. A mother told police a man pulled up to her as she was wheeling her child in a stroller and tried to take the youngster. He fled in the van west on Sylvan Lake Road, said BCI Capt. Keith Corlett. All police agencies in the area have been notified to be on the lookout for the van and the reported incident remains under investigation. No one was injured. |
