Two arrested for possessing ecstasy pills

ARDSLEY – Two upstate men are facing felony drug possession charges state police assigned to the Tarrytown barracks discovered a cache of ecstasy pills in their vehicle. They had been stopped for a routine traffic check on the Thruway in Ardsley shortly before 4p.m. on Tuesday.

The Saturn was driven by Jacob Albright, 23, of Altamont and was occupied by a passenger, Eric Markowitz, 22, of Buffalo.

A search of the vehicle, with the aid of a K-9, revealed over 800 ecstasy pills and a quantity of marijuana.

Both men were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degrees and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Albright was also charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
Both were remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
