White Plains – A 21-year-old Yonkers man has been indicted
by a Westchester County grand jury in connection with the death
of his one-year-old daughter.
Darryl Bolton was charged in connection with the death of his infant
daughter, Heaven.
At about 11:30 p.m. on July 18, a 911 telephone call was made by
the victim’s paternal grandmother that a child was having
trouble breathing.
Emergency workers found the baby who was unresponsive, had no pulse
and was cool to the touch. She had obvious bruising on her face
and abdomen, said District Attorney Janet DiFiore.
The child was taken to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center where
she was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. on July 19.
If Bolton is convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
